Nicholas M. Holland

Background

Nicholas and his family live in Paducah, KY.  He joined Whitlow, Roberts, Houston & Straub, PLLC as an Associate in January 2012.  He became a Member of the firm in January 2014.

Experience

Mr. Holland counsels clients regarding contractual and business law matters, including business formation, mergers, acquisitions, real estate purchases maritime transactions, and other general business issues.  He also counsels physicians and medical practice groups regarding compliance with the Anti-Kickback and Stark laws.  Mr. Holland has broad experience in litigation, having represented and counseled individual and corporate clients in a variety of matters before federal and state courts, including real property disputes, employment discrimination defense, maritime litigation, CERCLA litigation, breach of contract, and fiduciary duty disputes.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Holland worked for five years in Washington, D.C. with Wiley Rein LLP, where he focused on telecommunications law.  In addition to representing clients before the FCC and state public utility commission, he assisted clients seeking FCC approval of high-profile mergers and acquisitions.
