Straub becomes one of only 12 Kentucky attorneys recognized internationally for outstanding practice of law and client service
PADUCAH, Ky. – E. Frederick (Rick) Straub, Jr., managing partner of Whitlow, Roberts, Houston & Straub, PLLC, has been accepted for membership in the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC).
The IADC is an elite international organization comprised of approximately 2,500 peer-reviewed, in-house counsel, insurance executives, and outside trial counsel representing business entities throughout the world. To be accepted for membership, Mr. Straub was nominated by a member of the organization, sponsored by two additional members, and his nomination received a thorough review by the Membership Committee and the entire Board of Directors.
According to the IADC, membership standards are very exacting, and membership is offered only to “the best and the brightest” in the legal profession. According to its website, Mr. Straub is one of 12 Kentucky attorneys who have been recognized for membership and are current members.
The organization focuses on training and education for its members through meetings, webinars and publications. Mr. Straub has been asked to be involved in committees related to Medical Defense, Trial Techniques, Technology, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Straub has been with the firm since August 1980. He has defended insureds for several different insurance companies and has served as lead counsel in more than one hundred fifty jury trials involving various types of claims. Currently, virtually all of his litigation work involves the defense of physicians and health care providers in medical malpractice litigation.
