On January 7, 2016, Chris Hutson, member attorney of Whitlow, Roberts, Houston & Straub, PLLC, attended the Kentucky Chamber Day as part of the legislative session kick-off event in Lexington.
Hutson attended the event in his capacity as Chairman of the Baptist Health Board of Directors. Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton and her Chief of Staff, Steve Knipper, joined Hutson at the Baptist Health table. Also in attendance were Baptist Health Chief Executive Officer Steve Hanson, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel Janet Norton, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer Andy Sears, Regional Executive and President of Baptist Health Louisville David Gray, Director of Government Relations and Advocacy Lourdes Baez, state Senator Ernie Harris and the governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff Catherine Easley.
Hutson is in the second year of a two-year term as Chairman of the Baptist Health Board of Directors. Baptist Health, headquartered in Louisville, owns seven acute-care hospitals with more than 2,100 licensed beds in Corbin, La Grange, Lexington, Louisville, Madisonville, Paducah and Richmond. Baptist Health also manages Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
