Elizabeth Ann Wieneke Clymer was born July 24, 1982 and is from Metropolis, Illinois. In 2004, she earned a B.A. from Murray State University, with a major in Psychology and minor in Legal Studies. She graduated with honors, summa cum laude. While attending Murray State, she was recognized as a member of Psi Chi, the National Psychology Honor Society and nominated for the Outstanding Pre-Law Student in 2004. In 2007, Ms. Clymer earned her J.D. from Southern Illinois University. She graduated with honors, cum laude. While at SIU, Ms. Clymer received highest grade honors for Property I and Lawyering Skills II. She gained experience as a research assistant to two professors, interning with the Massac County State's Attorney, working at the SIU Elder Clinic, and as a member of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal. During one of her assistantships she contributed to and is noted in PROPERTY AND CUSTOM: ALLOCATING SPACES IN PUBLIC PLACES, 79 Temple L. Rev. 199 (2006). While serving on the SIU Law Journal, Ms. Clymer served as Articles Editor and authored a case note dealing with the conflicting requirements of the Uniform Commercial Code and the Tax Code notice filing systems entitled SECURED OR UNSECURED?: ANALYSIS OF UNITED STATES V. CRESTMARK BANK, 412 F. 3D 653 (6th CIR.2005), 31 SIU L.J. 707 (Spring 2007). Ms. Clymer was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 2007 and will take the Illinois Bar Exam in 2008. Her practice is currently focused on the areas of estate planning, real estate transactions and property law. Ms. Clymer lives in Paducah with her husband, Sam, and her Jack Russel Terrier, Daisy.
