On January 1, 2008, Mr. Roberts became of counsel to WRHS. He assists other attorneys in the firm when they have conflicting appointments, wish research done, or wish to discuss a case. He also mediates cases for other attorneys.

He is licensed to practice law in all state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Roberts' 45 years' experience litigating everything from property damage subrogation to antitrust law enables him to mentor firm members.
Background
Dick was born November 7, 1937, and has lived exclusively in Paducah, Kentucky except when he was in college, law school, and the U.S. Army. He began practice with the predecessor of WRHS in 1963 and has practiced with the same firm his entire career.
Education
He was graduated by the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Economics (high distinction) in 1959, and by Yale Law School (National Moot Court Team) with an L.L.B. in 1962.
Associations and Service
Dick is currently a member of the Kentucky Ethics Hotline, the Kentucky Bar Association Ethics Committee, and the Kentucky Commission on Bar Admissions (bar examination grader). He is a member of the McCracken County Bar Association (past president) Kentucky Bar Association (Board of Governors, six years), American College of Trial Lawyers, International Defense Counsel, Kentucky Defense Counsel (first president), and Maritime Law Association. He has presented numerous CLE programs about litigation skills, products liability, and legal ethics and regularly presents ethics programs.
He is a member of Grace Episcopal Church, has taught Sunday School at Broadway United Methodist Church for 40 years, and at Grace; a member of Paducah Kiwanis Club (twice president), was president or campaign chair of Paducah-McCracken County United Way multiple years, and is Director Emeritus and Trustee of Paducah Symphony Orchestra, of which he was its first president.
